Managers gather for Company conference

4th Jun 2024

Francois Offshore Catering’s worldwide network of managers converged on Aberdeen on two separate dates recently to attend the Company Annual Managers Conferences.

The events are an important fixture in the calendar as they allow managers to come together, share success stories with colleagues and hear from senior management on the direction of the Company to ensure alignment on goals, objectives, and service to the clients.

Hugh Rapson, Head of Francois Offshore Catering, opened proceedings with a summary of the agenda which included a focus on business development, crewing and HSE amongst other areas.

On day one of both events, guest speaker Simon Lee Maryan MM, PHD, presented on “The physical and psychological effects of stress and fatigue,” an important focus for Francois as the Company works to ensure crew working offshore away from friends and family enjoy as positive and productive working environments as possible.

The second days included senior management outlining best practice processes related to labour resources and food stock management.

There were further presentations from Mrs Alanna Taylor, Scottish Culinary Pastry Chef, and Brian Ewan, Operations Manager, who covered the topic of Mental Health.

Social interaction and relaxation also featured, with the teams enjoying dinners and quizzes.

Hugh Rapson said: “We very much appreciate the time and enthusiastic participation from our managers who travelled to attend the conferences.

“Having everyone in the same room offering their own feedback from the frontline, provided a genuine two-way information sharing process, ensuring we maintain our market-leading position in providing the highest quality service.”
